A crackdown on a shisha bar in Birmingham is underway because smokers are being warned that they are inhaling the equivalent of 100 cigarettes an HOUR !!!!

The harm of shisha’s was discovered by reports that young Asian women were smoking shisha’s unaware of the harm they may cause on their unborn child.

Dangerously high levels of carbon monoxide, which causes a lack of oxygen to a foetus, were spotted in antenatal clinics!!

Simon Cowell has been smoking since the age of 8 years old. At 52 year old he has started some treatment to try and quit smoking after 44 long years. Simon’s mother Julie has made a point of smoking related deaths in his family, like his grandfather who died of lung cancer at the age of 62 years old.

People are complaining about how cigarette packets are too glitzy and fancy.

They think that, if they were plain with just the brand name and a health warning, they wouldn’t be as attractive to young people.

Do you think that young people are less likely to buy ciggies if they were in a plain packet rather than a colourful one?

In a new study researchers from university of Wisconsin found that smokers who quit cope with stress just as well after giving up.

The study which is published in the Annals of Behavioural Medicine found that over the long term, individuals will be happier and more satisfied with their lives if they give up.

Five smokers have been chosen to take part in a new smoking cessation campaign, making them “Twitter Qwitters”.

Each person has been given an iPhone and will get tweets and emails giving them advice and encouragement over the next few weeks as they try and quit smoking.

They will be tweeting about how they get on.
