Are you feeling nervous about going back to school, or just can’t be bothered with the early morning after 6 weeks of lie- ins?
Here are some useful tips using a technique called visualisation to help you feel confident and full of energy!
1. Visualise yourself going back to school feeling positive and confident- your brain can’t tell the difference between reality and a vivid thought.
2. If you hear yourself saying a negative thought such as ‘I’m worried about going in to year 9′ replace this with a positive thought such as ‘I can’t wait to go in to year 9′- if you keep telling yourself positive things your brain will start to believe them and you will look forward to going in to year 9 or whatever it is you are telling yourself.
If in doubt- smile as it kids your brain in to thinking you are happy whether you are or not, and then you will feel more positive!
